Cellulite Fighting Foods to Eat and Rub All Over Your Body…with Laurel House

First of all, let me clarify something: cellulite is not fat’s fault. Nope, it’s not a fat issue. It’s also not a collection of rogue toxins trapped underneath the skin. Cellulite is actually a connective tissue issue. Orange peel skin. Cottage cheese thighs. Sacks of fat… Cellulite affects over 85% of women- fat and thin. Yes, the unsightly rippled dimples are unbiased, tackling women of all shapes and sizes, even supermodels (both Tyra Banks and Kim Kardashian have admitted to having it). And guess what, some overweight people don’t have cellulite at all. Now that you know what cellulite isn’t, let me explain what cellulite is: free-floating fat cells that have penetrated a weakened lattice of connective tissue bands separating the layer of normal fat from the dermis (the middle layer of skin) and have become trapped just below the surface of the skin. So what actually causes cellulite to tack itself all over the average woman’s thighs, butt, and sometimes arms and abs? Hormones (which is why men don’t get it), Genetics (Thanks a lot mom!) and Lifestyle (that’s all on you). Thankfully, there are a couple of things you can do to minimize its appearance and help it from getting worse including, diet, exercise, and lifestyle choices. Hey, what if I mix EVERYTHING described just now – coffee, olive oil, eggs, cayan pepper, milk, oatmeal??? Would it intensify the results?
@fodderoni I have an English degree, went to school for nutrition, studied Chinese Medicine, and have been a Beauty, Fitness and Wellness Editor and Writer for the last 10 years for Fit, Fit Yoga, Women’s Health, First for Women, Healing Lifestyles and Spas, Playboy, Men’s Journal, Elegant Bride, Spa Magazine and LA Daily News. I have 3 published books and just sold a 4th. Much of the info I have comes from experts I have interviewed like Dr. Andrew Weil and Dr. Murad. Hope that helps
What’s your degree in? If not, ….
@lovelife02 Thank you! Yup, Skinny Jeans are always in the kitchen
I see you still have the skinny jeans in the kitchen, keep up the good work and thank you for all your advice and motivation.
@Amatreas It’s tough to keep it looking decently organized. You wouldn’t think it, but I oddly splurge less since I already know what’s in my fridge, I see its contents every time I pass by, SO I am never wondering “hmm, I wonder if there is anything interesting in there for me to snack on.” It’s almost like I’m bored of its contents since I see it all the time. Never thought that would be possible for me!
I am totally going to rub my butt with coffee! *LOL*
Great video ; a little education with tips
Seriously , that fridge is cool, but I was just thinking of how hard, for me, the temptation would be every time I went into the kitchen….being able to see all the goodness in my fridge….
OMG…THAT is the fridge I want in my house!!
wow I didn’t know this awesome!!
Thank you. Love watching your videos, very informative.
@lynxybonkers The oil acts as a lubricant, allowing the grinds to glide across the skin instead of scratch the skin. Avoids damaging the skin. You can also mix the grinds with liquid body soap though
thank you SO MUCH
Thanks! This is very informative. But what if I’ve used coffee grinds by themselves without any oil? Was it bad?
@ExerciseTV great points
)
Thanks for posting this:) I need help!!
Great tip. Thanks!
@JenniferSmilesNow I’ve honestly never tried, but it could work. My ONLY concern is that it might be a bit too exfoliating and stimulating, making your skin turn red and hot for a little bit…
Can I mix the cayanne with coffee grinds and milk to make a more effective scrub?
your videos are great. Thank you sooo much.
