<p>You want a better butt, right? Of course you do, otherwise you wouldn&#8217;t be reading this.</p>
<p>Well, there are a few things you need to know when it comes to getting a butt that you&#8217;re proud of.</p>
<p>First you must make sure you&#8217;re working your butt muscles with every exercise you do that&#8217;s targeted to your butt.</p>
<p>I know that sounds stupid, but it is very common for women to not even work their butt muscles when they&#8217;re doing an exercise that&#8217;s supposed to be working their butt.</p>
<p>Take the squat for example.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t actively flex, or &#8220;squeeze&#8221; your butt muscles as you stand up, your butt will not get worked to its full potential, thus making the workout pretty much worthless when it comes to losing butt fat or building a firm, sexy butt.</p>
<p>Also, if you don&#8217;t keep your heels on the floor and start the movement from your hips rather from your knees, you put way too much pressure on your knees and back, taking all the focus off the butt which is where it should be.</p>
<p>We can also throw the hip extension, or &#8220;butt raise&#8221; exercise in there as well.</p>
<p>This exercise is performed while lying on your back, with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. You then squeeze your butt muscles and hamstrings to raise your hips off the floor as high as possible, before slowly lowering back to the floor.</p>
<p>If this isn&#8217;t done properly, your low back will do a lot of the work. Or, if you go too fast, and let gravity do all the work, your butt muscles will hardly be worked.</p>
<p>Those two tips can be used with lunges as well. If you don&#8217;t actively flex, or squeeze the butt muscles as you stand up, you won&#8217;t work those muscles as hard, which means you won&#8217;t lose butt fat and you definitely won&#8217;t get that firm, sexy butt you&#8217;re after.</p>
<p>When it comes to doing cardio, you can do a couple things to really hone in on the booty muscles.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re using the treadmill, or running outside, you should increase the incline or run up a hill. Doing so forces your butt muscles to work that much harder.</p>
<p>Or, if you&#8217;re using an elliptical machine or stationary bike, you can increase the resistance used to increase the tension on the butt.</p>

<p>All of those things are wrong, and you should never, ever buy those gizmos off the late night infomercials. Not when you can get better exercises done without spending any extra cash.</p>
<p>The first thing you need to fix is your nutrition. Are you eating for a nice butt? A butt worthy of a bikini, or tight jeans?</p>
<p>That doesn&#8217;t mean you have to go on some crazy diet. Quite the contrary. You need to eat enough to maintain your muscle, because muscle is what gives you a nice butt.</p>
<p>You need to make sure you eat lots of fruits and vegetables throughout the day and that could be through eating whole, raw fruits and vegetables, or by preparing your own smoothies made with real fruits and veggies, not juices.</p>

<p>In part 1, I gave you an exercise that helps to radically improve the shape of your butt&#8230; making it more firm and rounder. In this article, I&#8217;ll give you a 2nd exercise that complements the first exercise I mentioned in part 1.</p>
<p>This is perhaps the best shaping exercise you can do for the butt&#8230; and you can do it at home.</p>
<p>To recap briefly. In part 1 I mentioned how your butt can atrophy and flatten out due to sitting for long periods of time. So if you sit down a lot throughout the day, just be sure to get up every 15 minutes or so to provide some fresh blood and circulation to your butt. This will do a lot to minimize the &#8220;flattening out&#8221; effect of sitting too much and too often.</p>
<p>In part 1 I mentioned the wall squat. For this article, I will talk about &#8220;isometric butt squeezes&#8221; for improving the shape of your butt.</p>
<p>The isometric butt squeeze is easy and can be done anywhere at anytime&#8230; including at work or in your car. You can do it standing up, sitting down, or lying down. I recommend that you do it lying face down for best results.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how you do it&#8230;</p>
<p>Tense and squeeze your butt really hard. Really squeeze it together. Now hold that tension for at least 15 seconds. If you can hold it for 30-60 seconds, even better. After you&#8217;ve done 1 set, rest for 30 seconds or so and repeat.</p>
<p>For the best results, your goal should be to do this exercise for 5 minutes a day&#8230; holding each repetition for as long as possible (up to a minute).</p>
<p>Within 6 days you will notice an improvement in your butt&#8217;s shape. Within a month of doing this exercise for 5 minutes a day, your butt will be way more firm and a lot more round.</p>
